Best Kids Books- Ages NB-3

Next in my Books for Kids series is my favorite books for the really small angels in your life. It is never too early to begin introducing your little ones to books, in fact we started reading to Luke while he was still in the womb! I’ve compiled our favorite board books and authors, check them out!

  1. Anything by Sandra Boynton– Seriously, my kids love every single one of them!! They are cute little rhyming books that are lots of fun to read and sometimes dance to:) The twins have 5 or 6 of them in board books and the rest on the Kindle. The words are simple and help with recognition of beginning sight words when they are a little older as well. Our personal favorite is Let’s Dance, Little Pookie, but all of them are great.

  2. Dr. Seuss Board Books– Who doesn’t love Dr. Seuss?? The stories are silly and kids love them. There are a ton of his books available as board books, which are great for the younger kids. There is even a book to be read in utero!

  3. Eric Carle– I really love the Eric Carle books, particularly the artwork. They are a little less cartoony (is that a word? Ha!) than most. Our personal favorites are The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, but there are a lot of great ones!

  4. Goodnight Moon– I think this is the best going to bed book of all! It’s a classic that should be in every family’s library.

Those are the must haves from our library! What are your favorite infant and toddler friendly books, I’d love some new ideas to add to our growing collection!

Until our next adventure,

Moving Mommy
