*I was given a subscription to try in exchange for my review. All opinions are 100% my own.
Do your preschoolers love to read or be read to? Mine both do, and while I’m happy to do it, reading 35 books a day can be time consuming!! When I was approached to review the FarFaria app, I was really excited to give it a try. We have had the subscription for about a week now, and the kids love it. They can choose any book (there are tons!), and they have the option to have it read to them by a narrator. This is such a help when I need to do the dishes or get dinner started. I can feel good about the fact that they are “reading”, and still get work done at the same time.
The books are all leveled P through 4, which is helpful if your child is beginning to read. Level 1 are similar in difficulty to the BOB books, so they are perfect for very beginning readers, and the levels go up from there. Level P books are geared more toward the youngest audience, I would say 1-3 years old.
The books are divided into different “islands” such as BedTime Bluffs, Animal Kingdom, and Fairy Tale Falls. The twins like to go from island to island (often arguing over where to go next!). I have so far really enjoyed the app, and I think it will be helpful in developing their reading skills as time progresses.
A subscription is $3.99 per month or $39.99 per year, which I think is a pretty good deal considering the amount of books available. You can learn more about the app and start your free 30-day trial here.
Now for the giveaway! FarFaria has been kind enough to let me give a 3-month subscription away to one lucky reader. You can enter below and tweet daily for extra entries. Good luck!
